I’m not a very competitive person by nature.
I break my Wordle streaks all the time. Even when they’ve gotten into the high double-digits. I’ll miss one, shrug, and start a new one.
One of the reasons I like the habits app that I mentioned in this post is because it tracks 60 days, not 60 days in a row. It doesn’t matter if you miss a few in there.
So to my surprise, this email from Substack has me motivated to post this evening.
The past 6 days have been abnormally busy for me.
I spent most of last week in Boston visiting the home office and meeting some of my co-workers in person for the first time.
From Boston I drove to meet my family at a friend’s cabin. The weekend was filled with relaxing, playing cards and swimming.
It was amazing and quite needed.
After being away from home for that long I’d normally think about skipping this week’s post to focus on catching my breath and getting unpacked.
But Substack’s got me. If I don’t publish today I’ll break that streak and I’m liking being in the top 27% of writers! 🏆
(I also have a real curiosity what the next stat will be 🤓)
So I leave you with a photo of the rainbow we saw after a quick, but heavy, stint of rain while at the lake.
Have a great week all!
✌️ 🌈 👋
For those curious - here's what 8 weeks looks like
"Congratulations! You've published 8 weeks in a row.
That's longer than 74% of writers."
